I made you cherry and cream cheese hand pies. I did, and I made up the recipe myself. I stewed the cherries with kirsch and brown sugar and lemon. I creamed the cheese with brown sugar and lemon zest. I folded them together in puff pastry pockets like the most perfect poptarts. I ate the extra cream cheese. I took all the pictures and cleaned them up pretty and then…and then there were none. The photos seem to have fled to some deep, dark crevice of my computer that I am sure to discover 8 months down the road, but clearly not now. So I’m sorry, I fully intended to give you the hand pies this week, but I was thwarted by electronics. I promise I’ll be back just as soon as I have time to cook again.
